Overview #
Brain Breaks are quick, structured activities that engage students in physical movement and mindful activities. Educators can choose from various activities and students can participate individually or as a whole class.

Brain breaks will automatically open to the current month’s calendar.
The calendar includes CASEL competency themes for each month which will be shown at the top next to the calendar month. For example, see “Responsible Decision Making” to the right of May 2025.
A themed subtopic will be reflected each week, which is displayed on the left.

The Brain Breaks calendar is organized by grade level: Pre-K through 2nd grade and 3rd grade through 5th grade. Simply click on the grade band on the top right to navigate between the two.

At the bottom of the screen, you can view the previous month and upcoming month calendar. To access the previous or upcoming month, simply click on the previous or upcoming month’s name.

Selecting any link on a desired date will generate the complete lesson for that day. The left side will display a mini lesson plan for the activities with links and resources. Click the link or any pictured screen to launch that activity for the day.
Exit the mini lesson plan to return to the Brain Breaks calendar.

I am a school counselor who regularly uses QuaverReady in my counseling classes and occasionally shares lessons with teachers. I would love for teachers to also have access to the Brain Breaks so they can implement them daily in the classroom, in addition to the times I use them. What is the best way to share these Brain Breaks with teachers?
Hi Patricia,
Thanks for reaching out! Once you launch one of the Brain Breaks screens, you can use the URL to share to other teachers, but you won’t be able to send the entire Brain Break lesson, unless the teacher has their own login. Hope this helps!
