How to Access District Usage Report #
Select the Admin Tools icon on your dashboard, then District Admin, and finally Usage Reports.
Usage Reports will open on the Monthly Report tab. Select the Overview tab to follow along with this page.
This page will go over the general functions of District Usage Reports and the Overview tab.
For information on the other tabs in District Usage Report go to the following help pages:
Monthly Report tab: Screen views for each school, month by month across a school year, with a personal-license view and spreadsheet downloads.
Detailed Report tab: Top resources, screen views per educator, each educator’s daily activity, and the Activity Log.
Curriculum Tracker tab: Lesson launches week by week across a school year, with the educators behind each cell.
District Usage Report Layout #

The same header appears on every tab. At the top left, you will see the QuaverEd logo and the report name. Your district’s name appears below them as a large heading.
At the top right, you will find the light/dark toggle and the Accessibility button. The toggle reads Light when you first open the report. The active date range appears beside them, for example “Jul 1, 2025 – Sep 17, 2026.”
Four tabs sit below the header on the left. They are Overview, Monthly Report, Detailed Report, and Curriculum Tracker. The product toggle sits on the right of that row: Music, Ready, and HPE.
The Overview content sits below the tabs. At the top are the date range control and seven usage total cards. Next come a Screen Views by Month chart and a Screen Views by School table. A Students panel and a Currently Unregistered Schools panel finish the page. Each is described in its own section below.
Report Navigation #
Four controls in the header and tab row affect what you see on every tab. They’re documented here once. The Monthly Report, Detailed Report, and Curriculum Tracker pages refer back to this section.
Product Selector #
The product toggle sits on the right of the tab row. It switches the report between Music (QuaverMusic), Ready (QuaverReady), and HPE (QuaverHealth•PE). Every figure on every tab reflects the selected product. The Students panel on the Overview appears only when Music is selected.
Date Range #

The Date Range control sits at the top of the Overview content. It has a draggable bar with a handle at each end. A shaded line behind the bar traces the figure plotted in the chart below.
Beneath the bar are From and To date fields. Type a date or use the calendar picker, or drag either handle on the bar. The active range in the header updates as soon as you change it.
The To date can’t be later than today. The From date can’t be earlier than July 1 of the previous school year. Every panel on the Overview follows the selected range, with two exceptions. Total Schools and Currently Unregistered Schools describe today.
Your selection is shared across the report. A range chosen here carries to the Detailed Report as the same two dates. The Monthly Report and Curriculum Tracker show the school year it falls in. Choosing a school year on those tabs updates the range here.
Light/Dark Toggle #
The light/dark toggle at the top right switches between light and dark color schemes. It reads Light in light mode and Dark in dark mode. Select it to switch.
Accessibility #
The Accessibility button at the top right opens a small panel with two settings:
- Contrast: Standard or High.
- Text size: Standard or Large.
Your choices are saved on the device you’re using. Animation pauses automatically when your operating system requests reduced motion. Press Escape or select the button again to close the panel.
Viewing Usage Totals #

Seven cards below the date range summarize the selected product over the selected dates. Each card carries an info icon in its top right corner. Select it to read what that figure counts.
Reading left to right and top to bottom, you will see the following cards:
- Total Unique Screens: Distinct screens opened for 10 seconds or more by licensed users. Each screen is counted once across the whole range. This is how many different screens were used, not how many times.
- Total Educators: Licensed staff who viewed a screen for 10 seconds or more. Each educator is counted once and matched to a school’s teacher roster.
- The card face reads “Each holds a Quaver license.”
- Total Screen Views: Screens viewed for 10 seconds or more by licensed users, added up.
- Peak Monthly Unique Screens: The distinct screens opened in the busiest single month.
- Peak Monthly Active Educators: The distinct educators active in the busiest single month.
- Total Worksheet Opens: Worksheet opens for the selected product over the range. This figure covers all users and all view lengths.
- Total Schools: Schools holding a license for the selected product this school year. Schools that never used it still count. This card ignores the date range.
A screen is one page of content, the smallest thing the report counts. It may be Quaver material, such as a song or a worksheet. It may also be a screen a teacher made or linked themselves.
Screen Views by Month #

The Screen Views by Month chart plots one point for each calendar month. The info icon beside the heading explains the plotted figure.
Two controls sit at the top right of the chart:
- School: A dropdown that defaults to All schools. Choose a school to plot that school alone. This dropdown changes the chart only, not the total cards above it.
- Chart metric toggle: Screen Views, Unique Screens, or Active Educators.
- Screen Views counts screens viewed for 10 seconds or more in each month.
- Unique Screens counts distinct screens opened in each month.
- Active Educators counts distinct licensed educators active in each month.
The chart heading changes to match the selected metric, for example “Active Educators by Month.” The shaded line behind the Date range bar changes with it.
Screen Views by School #

The Screen Views by School table splits screen views across the district’s schools, busiest first. The rows add up to the Total Screen Views card above. Beside the heading, the table states the total views and the number of schools.
Reading from left to right, you will see the following columns:
- School: The school name, followed by a small school type tag. Tags read Elementary, Middle, High, or Combined. Schools with no grade range on file show no tag.
- A horizontal bar comparing each school with the busiest school shown.
- Views: Screen views for that school in the selected date range.
Only schools with views in the selected date range appear. The ten busiest schools show first. Select Show all followed by the school count to list every school. Select Show fewer to return to ten.
An italic Unattributed row at the bottom collects views from licenses with no school assigned. Each view is credited to the school that licensed it. Staff with licenses at several schools are credited to their most recent one. For them, the school is a best guess. The info icon beside the heading states how many views this affects.
Filter by School Type #
The School type dropdown at the top right of the table defaults to All types. The other options are Elementary, Middle, High, Combined, and Unknown.
School type comes from each school’s grade range. Up to grade 5 is Elementary. Grades 6 to 8 are Middle, and 9 and up is High. A school crossing those bands is Combined. Unknown means no grade range is on file. The Unattributed row appears only when this filter is set to All types.
This filter also narrows the School dropdown on the chart above. With Elementary selected, for example, the chart’s default option becomes All elementary schools.
Students #

The Students panel shows how students are being set up and reached in the range. It appears only when Music is the selected product.
The note under the heading explains the scope. These figures count rosters and sign-ins across every Quaver product the district holds. They can therefore read higher than the Music figures above. A student counts at the school of the teacher whose class they are in.
Three controls sit above the chart:
- School: A dropdown that defaults to All schools. It scopes this panel only.
- Student figure toggle: choose which figure to plot.
- Student Accounts Created: Rostered students whose Quaver login was created in the range. Each counts once.
- Rostered, No Account Yet: Rostered children who haven’t been given a Quaver login yet. Each counts in the month they were first rostered. A child who later receives a login moves to Student Accounts Created. The two figures therefore don’t add up to a fixed total.
- Student Logins: Sign-ins by rostered students in the range. Each sign-in counts once. A student who signs in twice in a day counts twice.
- Assignments Sent: Assignments teachers created in the district’s classes, by the date assigned. One assignment set for a whole class counts once.
- View: Per month plots each month on its own. Running total adds each month to the months before it. The last point then equals the total shown.
The selected figure’s total for the range appears above the chart. The figure name and the chosen school scope appear beside it. The info icon at the top right of the panel describes whichever figure is selected.
Below the chart, a list ranks the ten highest schools for the selected figure. Its heading is the figure name followed by “by School.” Select Show all followed by the school count to list every school. Select Show fewer to return to ten.
Currently Unregistered Schools #

The Currently Unregistered Schools panel sits at the bottom of the Overview. It lists schools with licenses for the selected product where nobody has signed up yet. One registered user is enough to remove a school from this list.
The panel is marked Current and reflects today’s license status. It ignores the date range selected above. Each row shows the school name and how many licenses that school holds.

How do I access student usage reports?
Hi Christie!
While there isn’t a way to access student usage reports, the GradeBook allows you to monitor student engagement by viewing assignment submissions, quiz scores, and overall progress. I will pass along your suggestion for detailed reporting to our Development team!
