Usage Reports: Detailed Report

The Detailed Report tab shows the most used resources and each educator’s screen views. It also logs individual screen views. You can narrow it to one school or school type and to any date range.

Only users with District Admin access can view District Usage Report. If you don’t have District Admin access, please contact QuaverEd’s Sales team for setup assistance.

How to Access the Detailed Report #

  1. Select the Admin Tools icon on your dashboard.
  2. Select District Admin to open the District Admin Dashboard.
  3. Select Usage Reports.
  4. Select the Detailed Report tab.

The header controls work the same on every tab. They’re described on the Overview page under Report Navigation.

Detailed Report Layout #

Detailed Report controls: School and School type dropdowns at top left, Download Excel at top right, and the Date range bar with From and To fields below
The Detailed Report controls and date range.

A row of controls sits at the top of the tab. At the top left are the School and School type dropdowns. At the top right is the Download Excel button. Below them is the Date range control.

Below the date range, your district’s name appears as a heading with an info icon. A line beneath it names the selected product, school scope, and month range. For example, “Music, All Schools, Jul 2025 – Sep 2026.”

Three panels sit side by side under that heading. Two list top resources, one for your district and one for your state. The third is Screen views per educator. The Activity Log fills the width of the page below them.

Filtering Options #

Filter by School #

The School dropdown defaults to All Schools and lists every school in the district. Choose a school to narrow the educator list and the Activity Log to that school. The first panel’s heading then names the school. For example, “Top Resources in Harmony Hill Intermediate.”

Filter by School Type #

The School type dropdown defaults to All types. The other options are Elementary, Middle, High, Combined, and Unknown. Choosing a type narrows the School dropdown to schools of that type. The first panel’s heading changes to match, for example “Top Resources in Middle schools.”

School type comes from each school’s grade range. Up to grade 5 is Elementary. Grades 6 to 8 are Middle, and 9 and up is High. A school crossing those bands is Combined. Unknown means no grade range is on file.

Date Range #

The Date range control works the same as on the Overview. Drag either handle on the bar, or type dates in the From and To fields. On this tab the bar has no shaded trend line behind it.

The selection is shared across the report. A range chosen here carries to the Overview. The Monthly Report and Curriculum Tracker show the school year it falls in.

Viewing Top Resources #

Two panels side by side: Top Resources in Fortissimo Unified and Top Resources in TX, each listing ten resources with a Screen views (educators) count
The two Top Resources panels.

The info icon beside your district’s name explains how the panels count. The educator totals and the Activity Log count licensed staff’s views of 10 seconds or more. Each view is credited to the school where the license is registered. The Top Resources lists are wider on purpose. They apply no license check.

Each panel has two columns, reading from left to right:

  • Resource: The resource name, ranked from most to least opened.
  • Screen views (educators): Views of 10 seconds or more in the selected range.

The first panel lists the ten resources educators in your district opened most. It counts every opener, students included. Screens from outside the Quaver library are left out, because they have no name.

The second panel lists the resources educators across your state opened most. It uses the same product and range. Use it to compare your district with the state.

Viewing Screen Views per Educator #

The Screen views per educator panel.

The Screen views per educator panel ranks educators by screen views over the selected range. Each view of 10 seconds or more counts separately. It covers staff who hold their own Quaver license.

The panel shows the top 40 educators. A note at the bottom says so. The Excel download has the complete list. Each educator’s name is a link to their daily activity, described in the next section.

Viewing an Educator’s Daily Activity #

Dialog titled Quincy Jones: screen views by day, with a monthly calendar shaded by daily screen views, a legend for 0, 1 to 5, 6 to 20, and 21 or more, and two explanatory notes
The daily activity dialog.

Select an educator’s name in the Screen views per educator panel or the Activity Log. A dialog opens titled with the educator’s name and “screen views by day.” Under the title, a line gives the educator’s total for the selected range.

The dialog shows one month as a calendar. Each day is shaded by the number of screen views that day. A legend beneath the calendar shows the four bands. They are no views, 1 to 5, 6 to 20, and 21 or more.

Use the arrows on either side of the month name to move between months. Shift+Up and Shift+Down change the month from the keyboard. Days are counted across the whole district. They add up to the educator’s row in the panel.

Select any day to filter the Activity Log to that educator on that day. The dialog closes when you do. Select the Close button at the top right to leave without filtering.

Viewing the Activity Log #

The Activity Log.

The Activity Log lists the individual views behind the summaries above. It includes every view of 10 seconds or more by licensed staff. Rows are sorted newest first.

Reading from left to right, you will see the following columns:

  • Educator: The educator’s name. Select it to open their daily activity.
  • Resource: The screen that was viewed.
    • Select the column header to sort resources A to Z. Select it again for Z to A. Select it a third time to return to newest first.
  • When: The date and time of the view, in your district’s local time. The column header names the time zone, for example “When (CDT).” If the log spans a daylight saving change, both abbreviations appear.

The log shows the 200 most recent views. When the range holds more, a note at the bottom of the log says so. Narrow the school or date range to see older views.

Filtering the Activity Log by Day #

Activity Log filtered to one educator and one day, with a tag reading Quincy Jones, September 1, 2026 and a small clear button above the table
The Activity Log filtered to one educator and one day.

Select a day in an educator’s daily activity dialog. The Activity Log then shows only that educator’s views on that day. A tag above the table shows the educator’s name and the date.

Select the close mark on the tag to clear the filter. The full log returns.

Downloading the Report #

Select Download Excel at the top right to save the report. The file reflects the selected product, school scope, and date range.
