General Information

QuaverHealth·PE Curriculum Map

QuaverHealth·PE is designed to be flexible for use in the classroom, gym, or wherever learning occurs. Modules and units can be presented in any order. To comprehensively cover all 2022 Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for Health and PE, please follow the QuaverHealth·PE Curriculum Map.

Contributor List

The Contributor List document provides a list of all of the experts, authors, editors, and reviewers that participated in the creation of the QuaverHealth·PE curriculum.

PE Equipment List

The PE Equipment List presents all sporting equipment and materials needed for PE lessons. The equipment is organized in two ways: first by PE Unit and second in an alphabetized list. This list also includes all recommended Adapted PE equipment.

Movement Glossary

This Movement Glossary contains terms, photos, and descriptions of movements used throughout the curriculum. This glossary serves as a helpful guide for any and all movements in QuaverHealth·PE.

Song Lyrics and Choreography Guide

The Song Lyrics and Choreography Guide contains lyric and choreography instructional guides for every song within the QuaverHealth·PE curriculum. Explore all songs and follow the easy-to-read choreography for an active and engaging learning experience.

Teacher-Led Student Discussions

The Curriculum Features document aids teachers through a how-to guide on starting, leading, and building engagement as well as participation in student discussions.

Supporting English Language Learners

The Supporting English Language Learners document introduces support systems for English Language Learners in the classroom. This document includes strategies for creating an inclusive classroom environment and highlights tools within the QuaverHealth·PE curriculum to assist in instructing multi-language learners.

Skills-Based Health Education

QuaverHealth·PE includes the Characteristics of an Effective Health Education Curriculum as defined by the CDC. This Skills-Based Health Education best practice guide explains how the curriculum provides support for skills-based Instruction in health, defines the skills taught as outlined by the National Health Education Standards, and gives educators guidance for teaching using a skills-based approach.

Useful Letters Home – English

This document includes Beginning of the Year Overview letters home for Health, PE, and Health + PE modules and lessons. It also includes templates for notifying parents of TEKS-aligned sensitive content to be covered and sample opt-in forms. Letters are provided by grade level and also for each level for district customization.
