Dashboard Icons

The QuaverMusic Teacher Dashboard is divided into two sections: the top section, which features five essential icons fixed in place, and the bottom section, which allows you to customize the Dashboard according to your needs.

You can use this article to get an overview of each available icon in QuaverMusic and a link to the corresponding help article for more information.

Top Administrative Section (Fixed) #

QuaverPLC is a resource offered by QuaverEd that provides numerous avenues to support educators, schools, and students in our collective effort to foster a culture of success.

Resource Manager is where you can go to search, create, and organize screens, lessons, and assignments. 

Resource Creation allows you to import resources from outside of QuaverEd and create custom screens. These screens can be used individually or incorporated into lessons and assignments.

Admin Tools is your one-stop shop for administrative tools. Here you can create classes, set up student accounts, take attendance, and more! There is also an awards tool that allows you to reward students with QuaverNotes. These can be used to buy items on QuaverStreet.

Bottom Content Section (Customizable) #

You can customize your dashboard with the following resources in QuaverMusic:

Teacher Essentials #

Quaver Curriculum contains pre-built lessons for Pre-K through 8th grade. Lessons cover a range of musical topics following the National Core Arts Standards.

Teacher Toolbox has resources for a variety of instructional needs from general tools to additional interactive screens. 

Assessments allow the opportunity to evaluate students’ mastery of music skills through quizzes, rubrics, assessments, and other tools.

Custom Curriculum provides a way to change the scope and sequence of the curriculum. This can be used by teachers or district administrators to fit their particular needs.

Curriculum Features & Best Practices include curriculum documents like standards, scope and sequences, and other important instructional materials.

Respond Standard Resources let you explore lessons created to specifically meet the respond domain of the National Core Arts Standards.

New Content features our latest content updates. 

Student-Centered #

Creatives give your students fun tools to explore music composition, plus real-world application of sound waves and sound effects. 

Student Interactives has a wide variety of games, interactive screens, and much more to engage your students. 

QuaverStreet offers many musical activities to enhance student learning. These include the Music Room, the Music Store, and the Metro. 

ClassPlay is our song library where you can find a multitude of songs with activities and printables.

Contests let students get creative! They can enter contests to compete against other students using their saved Creative compositions.

Movement Resources encourage movement with resources focused on performance choreography, dance, and games.

Approaches by Pedagogy #

Kodály Resources helps you find lessons and a variety of resources to teach melodic and primary concepts.

Orff Resources explore QuaverMusic’s Orff resources for movement, tools, Orffestrations, and other activities.

MLT Resources develops students’ inner awareness of meter and tonality.

Song-Based Lessons contain lessons based on the Kodály philosophy, Orff approach, and Music Learning Theory, as well as a number of themed lessons. 

Music Theory and Fundamentals #

Quaver Essentials is our original educational platform! This provides songs, videos, and interactive resources based on various musical topics. Note that these are non grade-specific. 

Rhythm Resources helps students find their rhythm through these interactive resources, including games, warm-ups, notation, and more.

QuaverBooks teaches new musical styles, genres, and composers with these interactive books with basic and advanced options.

Bach’s Brain is a fun way to expose your students to a variety of composers and musical periods. 

Composers Dive into the history, background, and music of influential composers.

Listening Maps help students visualize music in new ways!

Quaver Classic Videos include videos of Quaver and friend’s adventures exploring the fundamentals of music theory.

Active Music Making #

QuaverChoral Resources is loaded with songs, lesson plans, interactives, movement, and warm-up activities for your choir and vocal development for students.

Quaver Musicals is jam-packed with resources for a complete musical performance experience. 

Recorder Resources teaches students everything you need to learn to play the recorder. You’ll find animated scores, videos, games, and more!

Ukulele Resources teaches the ukulele through lessons, interactive exercises, and videos to improve students’ technique.

Cultural Connections #

Making Music Worldwide gives your students an opportunity to explore songs and instruments from all around the world. 

Black History includes resources to celebrate the lives of influential African American and Black artists.

Mariachi Resources has resources to teach about this genre of traditional Mexican music through songs, interviews, performances, and more!

Holiday and Special Songs allows you to celebrate the Quaver way with special songs and holiday resources.

Melody Resources explore Melody Resources, including intervals, scales, warm-ups, and solfège/rhythm.

Cross-Curricular Resources connect music to a variety of subjects, including science., literacy, and social studies.
