Student Recording

Student Recording Overview #

The Student Recording tool inside Resource Creation allows students to submit a video to the teacher. To begin, click on “Student Recording.”

Creating Student Recording Screen

First, note that you can use the add/edit notes icon to add notes. You can also record or upload video instructions.

Give your screen a title, then click Save in the lower left.

After clicking Save, your Student Recording screen will appear in the My Custom Screens folder in Resource Manager, where you can assign it to a student or class.

Once assigned, the student will see it in the Assignments section of their Student Dashboard.

How do students record?

Once the student clicks “Launch,” they will see a screen where they can either record or upload a video. If the student has a built-in camera on their device, the student can record directly from it. Note they may receive a prompt to allow their camera and microphone within their browser.

If the student does not have a built-in camera, they will need to record it on another device and transfer that file to their computer’s hard drive. The student can upload the recording by clicking “Select File” and navigating to the file. Video requirements are MP4 or MOV only with a 180 MB limit.

Student submissions will appear in the GradeBook section of Admin Tools.
