Rubric Builder

Rubric Builder Overview #

The Rubric Builder inside Resource Creation, allows you to create a custom interactive rubric. These rubrics can be applied to an assignment for grading or used to give students guidelines for an assignment or project. Click on “Rubric Builder.”

Creating a Rubric

First, title your screen. Next, click any cell to edit the criteria.

The top row represents the scoring scale. You can enter the number of points associated here as well.

Click the red x above any columns you wish to remove. You can add columns at any time by clicking the green button though note that you can only have 5 columns.

The left column represents the scoring criteria. Click the green plus sign to add criteria as needed.

The gray boxes in the center of the rubric allow you to elaborate on the criteria.

When editing a cell, you can add “expanded text” that will appear when you click the orange boxes. Once you are finished typing in the cells, click “Save.”

To view Rubrics you have created, click “Load Template,” select a rubric, and click “OK.” Note this will automatically create a copy for you to work off of.

To print a copy of the rubric, click “Menu”, then “Print Rubric.”

Use the add/edit notes icon, to add custom notes. You can also record or upload video instructions.

Click the Save button when you are finished. Your new screen will appear in Resource Manager under “My Custom Screens.”
