Overview #
The Quaver Pre-K Curriculum was designed to meet Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines (TPG). Quaver Pre-K addresses all Outcomes, Breakouts, and Skills in each of the TPG’s ten domains. This documentation will walk you through how to navigate the interactive Correlations menu, which provides a sample of citations for each TPG Breakout. This is not intended to be an index of all standards within the Quaver Pre-K Curriculum.

Correlations Menu #
From this view, you can see all of the TPG domains at the top of the screen and easily see the Outcomes and Breakouts on which children will be assessed.
At the top of the screen, you will find each of the TPG’s domains: Social and Emotional Learning, Language, Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, Fine Arts, Physical Development, and Technology. Select a standard domain to see the Skills, Outcomes, and Breakouts addressed by the standards.
Click the blue JUMP button to pull up a dropdown list of Skills/Sub-Skills and click on one to automatically jump to it.
Citation Types #
The Citation Type column indicates the four types of citations provided:
- Student/Teacher Narrative
- Student/Teacher Activity
- Teacher-Only Narrative
- Teacher-Only Activity
A Narrative is content that allows the child to learn or the teacher to teach.
An Activity gives the child the opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge and practice the skill.
The Teacher-Only vs. Student/Teacher descriptor describes the material in which the Breakout is addressed. A Teacher-Only citation is met by the teacher observing the child demonstrating the Breakout in some way. A Student/Teacher citation is met by the child knowing he or she is demonstrating that skill.
Location #
The Location column indicates the specific activity or teaching note within an Executable Lesson Guide in the Quaver Pre-K Curriculum where the Breakout is addressed. There are two easy ways to access any activity listed as a citation:
- Click the blue, linked text under the Location column: This will open the Executable Lesson Guide in a new tab. The guide will open directly the specific activity where the Breakout is addressed.
2. Click Help > Location Key. This will take open a detailed reference to the code used to identify the activity.
Each location is listed by theme, week, day, section of the day, and specific activity, using the following key:
Theme.Week.Day-Section.Activity.Center*- Activity Name
For Example:
T3.1.2-13.01.3* – Afternoon Center Recommendations – Library and Listening Center
- T3 = Theme 3 – Amazing Nature
- 1 = Week 1 – The Suns and Seasons
- 2 = Day 2 – Tuesday
- 13 = Section 13 – Center Time 2
- 01 = Activity 01 – Afternoon Center Recommendations
- 3 = Center 3 – Library and Listening Center
- *This final digit is only provided if the correlation involves a Center to indicate the specific Center where the breakout is addressed.
